Darlene Hamblin

Darlene Stevenson Hamblin was born in Duchesne and has lived in Ogden most of her life. She resides near Ogden Canyon and the Ogden River, surroundings that have inspired many of her paintings. Some of Darlene’s early memories are of having such a desire to draw that she drew on all of the blank pages of her mom’s encyclopedias. She studied art at Weber State University and Utah State University and has taught oil painting classes for 18 years. In 2004 she designed and painted two 32” seagull forms for Salt Lake City’s “Seagull Fest” which were displayed at the Gallivan Center.
